Selene is an Italian documentary photographer and investigator with a strong vision raised on the Italian Dolomites and based in London and Berlin.
She has studied at the British Academy of Photography and is working as a freelance and on several independent projects, when not represented by different agencies such as Ecostorm and Wildlight.
With a background in grassroots activism, her work spans issues relating to social justice, anthropology, human rights, feminism, the environment and food production.
She’s committed to in-depth research, slow journalism and an ethos of solidarity, and this informs her approach to documentary projects.
“You cannot take what you have not given, and you must give yourself. You cannot buy the Revolution. You cannot make the Revolution. You can only be the Revolution. It is in your spirit, or it is nowhere.”
